The third meeting of the Angola-Algeria joint commission shall happen here from March 12 to 14, with the aim of assessing the cooperation between the two countries.

An Algerian delegation of expected this Tuesday in the country to prepare the meeting with Angolan experts.

The event will also be attended by the co-chairman of the commission for the Algerian party, who is the minister of Energy and Mining of the Democratic and People's Republic of Algeria, Chakib Kheil, expected Thursday in Angola.

Angola will be represented by, another co-chairman of the group, the Oil minister, Desidério Costa.

The joint commission, comprising of all fields of cooperation between the two countries, held its second session in Algeria, in 1987.

Angola and Algeria maintain ties in the fields of staff training, in the electricity sector, hydrocarbons, and mining and there is also cooperation between Sonangol and Sonnatrch, state-owned Oil firms of both countries.
