Kampala — THE tax education curricular developed by the Uganda Revenue Authority for primary, secondary and tertiary institutions, are now ready and will be officially handed over to the ministry of Education and Sports today.
URA's spokesperson Patrick Mukiibi said the exercise, which has been going on for the past 12 months, involved the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC), the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and headmasters and vice chancellors from the various universities, who have all endorsed the documents.
The project, the first of its kind in Africa, has caused excitement around the region, according to Mr Mukiibi, and officials from some tax bodies in the region are already in the country to study it.
