Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Alhassan Baku Zaku has called for the removal of dichotomy between university and Polytechnic graduates, stating that such differences would not help our educational system. .

The minister who made the call while receiving in audience, a delegation from the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) led by its national president, Comrade Prince . Ashu Yakubu in his office at the weekend, said the nation may not witness any rapid technological advancement unless the polytechnic products are encouraged to contribute their quota to the nation building.

He maintained that with the nature of training given to polytechnic graduates, they can practically contribute to the development of the country.

In a statement signed by the information officer of the minister Tai Shobanjo and made available to Daily Champion Zaku observed that university education alone cannot take the nation to the Promised Land while positioning that, with the two considered equal, the nation can move forward technologically.
