A friendly international with Mauritania have been arranged to prepare the Scorpions before the start of the World/Nations Cup qualifiers, according to reports.

The match is scheduled to take place before the end of this month. Overseas based players are expected to take part in the friendly.

Gambia is pooled alongside Senegal, Algeria and Liberia for a place in the next qualifying round of the 2010 football showpiece in Angola and South Africa. The Scorpions are presently without a head coach after the cancellation of the contract of Spaniard, Jose Martinez in late last year.
