Fanko

The inhabitants of 23 villages in the Fanko administrative area extended about 66 quintals of crops in assistance to 317 needy citizens, including to disabled and elderly ones.

The Administrator of the area, Mr. Mohammed Mahmuod Idris, stated that the initiative attests to the Eritrean people's culture of mutual cooperation and caring for one another. He also called on other administrative areas in the region to emulate the gesture of the inhabitants of Fanko.

Earlier, the inhabitant of the administrative area had donated 12,000 Nakfa for the cultivation of 65 hectares of farm plots belonging to families of martyrs. The Fanko administrative area is located in the Tessenei sub-zone and is inhabited by about 14,000 people.
