Location: Ben Kiwanuka Street. On the front side of the Hotel Equatoria building, opposite K.P.C

Accessibility:

Within the central business district. You'll access it from Wandegeya on your way to town or from Old Kampala rising to the Ben Kiwanuka Street side. If you're using public means, ask the taxi to drop you off at Hotel Equatorial, the restaurant is branded so you won't miss it. Or if you're using the boda boda, you'll ask them to drop you off just after the junction. The restaurant is located at a busy point so parking might not be easy to come by easily during the rush hours.

Attractions:

The joint stands out for its easy access. The eatery has a menu that spells of Afro and oriental dishes. If you're working in or around town or simply passing through, you could drop in for buffet. The African buffet is served from midday up to 4p.m.

Like the name may allude, the hangout is open through to the evening hours and you'll catch revellers who come around for dinner dates or simply dinner. Emphasis is put on low cholesterol cooking so you won't have to worry as you enjoy that meal.

For those with a taste for junk foods, there are the burgers with over 20 types prepared here as well as the pizzas and chips.

Ambience:

So much is 'old school' but with a decent touch. However, a facelift is in the offing soon. It is laidback in the neat interior. The kitchen is within view and sometimes the heat will get to you.

Crowd:

It cuts across all age groups and classes. You'll catch the young outgoing folks, those from the corporate circles and a host of other revellers.

Prices:

Buffet at lunch goes for Shs6,000, juice at Shs2,000 and soda or water at Shs1,000. Coffee or tea is available at Shs2,500, hamburgers and al carte range between Shs5,000 and Shs8, 000. Set menus go for Shs15,000.
