Angola: São Tomé - Parliament Speaker to Sign Joint Declaration

The Speaker of the Angolan Parliament, Roberto de Almeida, is to end Friday his official visit to Sao Tome and Principe with the signing of a joint declaration with his local colleague, Francisco da Silva, it was announced.

The document will reflect the activities carried out by the Angolan Parliament Speaker since his arrival in that country, as well as both sides' interest in boosting the bilateral co-operation.

In Sao Tome and Principe, Roberto de Almeida met the Head of State, Fradique de Menezes, Premier Patrice Trovoada, with whom he debated matters relating to political concert, stability and development.

He also had a meeting with the leader of the main opposition party, MLSTP-PSD, Rafael Branco, on political and bilateral co-operation, as well as with the Angolan community residingin Sao Tome and Principe.

Roberto de Almeida is being accompanied in his mission by the MPs Jacques Mato Gala, Albertina Teresa Jose and Henrique Afonso Raimundo.
