Angola: Diplomat Highlights Determination of Country, Cuban Presidents to End Apartheid

Luanda — The ambassador of Cuba to Angola, Pedro Ross Leal Saturday highlighted the determination and engagement of Presidents José Eduardo dos Santos and Fidel Castro in ending the Apartheid (race segregation policy) regime, which was in force in South Africa until the 90s decade.

The official praised these politicians on an interview to ANGOP, in light of the Cuito Cuanavale Battle, fought on 23 March 1988 against the extinct South African army, which contributed for the proclamation of Namibia's independence and for the end to Apartheid.
