THE Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has now changed Uganda's opponents in the first African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Locally based Cranes players will now travel to Eritrea for a preliminary round first leg match between March 28-30, 2008 and host the return leg between April 11-13.

In the original fixture, Uganda was scheduled to play Tanzania in early May. The changes have come after Caf allowed late entries from 10 other countries.

In Central East zone, Kenya and Eritrea join Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and Rwanda and seeded Sudan. In the other preliminary matches in the zone, Tanzania play Kenya with the winner playing with Eritrea or Uganda while Sudan meet the winner of the Burundi versus Rwanda tie.

The first round matches are scheduled for May 2-4 and May 16-18.
