Asmara — The 7th Eritrean Book Fair opened today at the Expo grounds. The Minister of Education, Mr. Semere Russom, opened the Fair.

The Chairman of Hidri Publishers, Mr. Solomon Dirar, expressed appreciation to the institutions and partners that made due contribution for the success of the Book Fair. He further called on nationals to visit the Fair, especially parents so as to encourage their children to develop reading habits.

Different poems, songs and drums would be presented by children at the Fair which would remain open until March 23. Moreover, 35 institutions and 20 artists would participate in the event, in addition to different programs including arts exhibition depicting the nation's culture and values, according to Mr. Isack Yossef, Coordinator of the Fair.
