In line with efforts to promote the use of correct language in the mass media, the Ministry of Information inaugurated a Tigre language reference book titled "Jaha" on March 14 at Hotel Embasoira here in the capital.

A member of the book's preparatory committee, Mr. Adem Ali, outlined the documents and information applied in preparing the reference book. He pointed out that the writing style and grammar in the book fully correspond with the nation's education curriculum and the profession and activities of the people in different parts of the country. In addition, difficult words of science, technology and health are translated in an understandable manner, Mr. Adem added. He further stressed the need to continue such an undertaking.

It is to be recalled that the Ministry published a Tigrinya language reference book in 2005.
