Angola: Benguela - Cholera Claims Three Lives in Luacho

Benguela — Three people, including two children, died of cholera last week in Luacho locality, Baia Farta district, central Benguela province, a local source has informed.

The local chieftain, Jose Costa Seculo said the deaths where recorded at home and that on the same period another 12 cases were recorded in the same locality.

An awareness campaign on the preventive measures is underway so as to avoid more deaths.

Meanwhile, the heavy rains falling in the region may worsen the situation.
