Visiting Police Morogoro yesterday whitewashed their hosts Ashanti United by a comprehensive 4-1 goals in a Mainland premiership league match played at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Staring at a low profile the visitors conceded a goal as early as the 6th minute of the game when Ashanti United's Adam Kingwande scored past stunned defenders.

Kingwande slipped with an eel like expertise to slot home his team's opening goal that eventually became a consolation at the end of the match. Police Moro's centre forward Thobias Thobias leveled the score for his team in the 24th minute when a well taken corner kick by Lambos Lambos landed on United's goal mouth.

Until half time mark Police looked harpless at the eyes of their victims as the teams tied at 1-1 score. The visitors fired all barrels ablaze as Mokili Komba came close to put his team ahead soon after resumption only to shoot wide with goal keeper Maneno Uvuruge at his mercy.

After a well coordinated attack, Police were two up in the 55th minute when Ashanti United's defender bennard Myaga scored an own goal as a result of a mix up.

Hard working striker Komba had put through Nicodemus Kabipe just five minutes after the second goal for Police to extend the lead.

United looked a more perplexed side as they would not penetrate the visitor's defence. However, United's striker Godfrey benedict missed an opportunity to reduce the losing margin in the 70th minute when his frail shot was saved by Police's custodian Kondo Salum.

Police hammered the final nail in United's coffin in Scottish time as Kabipe released a power packed shot that sailed straight into the net leaving Uvuruge flat footed to register the fourth goal. In Mbeya Kagera Sugar's Shamte Ali was a thorn into Prisons FC defense when his double strike sent the home side packing conceding a 1-2 loss.

Ali opened a score for his side in the 18th minute to put his team ahead until the teams went into the dressing rooms. Prisons FC has never beaten the West lake boys in the premiership and looked well in doldrums despite a home crowd support.

The match turned into drama with six minutes to time when the home side were awarded a penalty that was strongly disputed by Kagera sugar players.

The game came to a stand still for while until the visitors allowed the penalty to be taken for Prisons to draw level through Stephen Mwasika However, Prisons celebrations were short lived when Ali tormented their defence to blast home the winner barely three minutes later.

In Morogoro relegation haunted Manyema FC found their winning formula to record their third victory of the season when they knocked Morogoro United by a lone goal. Manyema's goal was scored by Bugu Suleiman soon after resumption.
