Eritrea: Algien Educational And Training Community Center Inaugurates

The Algien Educational and Training Community Center was inaugurated yesterday in the presence of President Isaias Afwerki, ministers, administrators, military commanders and invited guests. The Minister of Labor and Human Welfare, Ms. Askalu Menkerios, inaugurated the Center which is equipped with a library, computer training facilities and internet service.

Congratulating Algien community members, who registered remarkable achievements through organizing themselves, the Minister stated that making substantial investments in child welfare is a vital undertaking as children represent the nation's future. Ms. Askalu added that the community of Algien has ascertained a bright future for their children and called on them to continue the initiative.

Mr. Gebremichael Tesfom, Chairman of the Algien Parents' Committee, explained on his part that the Community has set up a secure future for their children and commended President Isaias, government institutions and the PFDJ, as well as private organizations and individuals, for the significant contribution they made towards the opening the center.

The inauguration ceremony also featured the awarding of prizes to contributors for the role they played in facilitating the opening of the community center, including the President, government and PFDJ officials, as well as private institutions and concerned individuals.

In meeting with the Algien Parent's Committee, President Isaias congratulated them for the tasks they had accomplished and called on members to share their experience with other communities so that they may emulate their example.
