The Lebialem Cultural and Development Association, LECDA, has drawn up a development plan for the Division, the Lebialem Integrated Development Plan.

The plan was drawn during a three-day workshop in Menji, headquarters of the Division. The Senior Divisional Officer for Lebialem, Diny Ngoe, cautioned the elite to support the developmental projects.

He told the people to minimise land disputes and support LECDA in improving on their living standards. On his part, the president, LECDA, John Fongang, assured participants of LECDA's dedication to working for the unity of the division and to pursuing the Lebialem development agenda.

Meanwhile the facilitator, Vincent Anu, stated that the workshop's objective was to draw up an integrated development plan for Lebialem Division from 2008 to 2015. The over 45 participants were drawn from the three councils in the Division- Wabane, Alou, and Menji; Government Technical Services, Common Initiative Groups, Non Governmental Organisations, local economic operators, and development associations.
