Abuja — A lady yesterday escaped from suspected ritualists who abducted her at Area 11 and took her to Nyanya, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory.

The victim, who looked confused, said she left her house to buy drugs at a pharmacy when some unknown persons pulled a car by her side and forced her into the vehicle. "Immediately I entered the vehicle I lost my senses and can only remember finding myself in a room with seven other captives in room". The lady said she noticed that her hair had been loosened and that luck was on the captives' side when a man entered the room and forgot to lock the door of the room.

"We all ran out as if our lives depended on our legs and we rushed towards a crowd and learnt we were at Nyanya," she said. The fiancée of the lady told City News that the matter has been reported to the FCT police command. When our reporter contacted the FCT police spokesman, he was told that the matter did not come before the command.

"Maybe the report was lodged at the SCID, because it is also within their jurisdiction to entertain such cases," he said.
