Lagos — Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), has handed over four blocks of flats at the Ajara Housing Estate, Badagry, to Lagos State University (LASU).

The project, which consists of two blocks of 96 units each and two other blocks of 48 units each, was initiated by the immediate past Governor, Bola Tinubu, but completed by Governor Babatunde Fashola.

Presenting the project to the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Lateef Hussain, the Managing Director, Mr. Biodun Oki expressed his delight to present the project, adding that it was in line with the company's functions of providing housing for both residential and business/commercial purposes, as well as maintaining same.

According to him, assets, if left unused, become a waste, he therefore urged the university to make good use of the project.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the state government, for its continued support to the university. Although the university is in dire need of staff accommodation, he said, the management was yet to decide who the occupants would be and that the university will soon get to work on the project to make it ready for occupation.
