The performance of Bafia evolution is worth praising given that the club was created just over two years ago. Their first stride in the championship was in 2007 and they grabbed the championship title against a volleyball giant, FAP, winning all the three sets of the match. The club was to go ahead and win the Cup of Cameroon in the same year. The club has only 12 players, all students with their ages ranging from15 to 27. The club was created by two Cameroonians; Laviosier Yende and Serge Abouem, who were inspired to create a training centre for the nurturing of volleyball talents after taking part in a training camp in Europe with the national volleyball team. The initiators are in the process of setting up a second volleyball training centre in Bafia in order to increase competition among the players to enable them improve on their skills.
