Eritrea: Official Calls On Youth Employees to Strengthen Their Organization And Back Up National Development Endeavors

Hamelmalo — Mr. Ahferom Tewolde from the PFDJ Central Office, stressed the need for Eritrean youth employees to strengthen their organizational capacity and enhance their contribution in the national development drive. He made the remarks at a seminar he conducted with youths in Hamelmalo sub-zone.

Noting the paramount importance of nurturing dynamic youths equipped with diverse skills, Mr. Ahferom called on the youth to avail themselves of different vocational training programs.

Also speaking at the seminar, the Chairman of NUEYS, Mr. Sultan Seid, indicated that the Union is striving to promote vocational training for youth employees, and thereby nurture competent and productive youths who can play active role in the nation-building process. He added that the activities being carried out by youth employees in Adi-Tekelezan and Hamelmalo attest to this fact.

Meanwhile, 10 personal computers (PCs) have been extended to the NUEYS branch office in Hamelmalo sub-zone towards enhancing the activities of the computer training center in the area. In addition, the inhabitants of the sub-zone donated 50,000 Nakfa.

Different sports competitions, general knowledge contest, seminars, debating, cultural shows and poetry recitals were presented by youth employees on the occasion.
