Luena

A seminar for training of trainers on the new methodology of combat to HIV/AIDS, dubbed "Star", opened Wednesday in Luena city, under the Angolan Association for Training of Adults (AAEA).

The event, held in the ambit of the programme funded by the European Union (EU), implemented in the corridor of Benguela's Railway, involves 20 activists from state-owned institutions and NGOs operating in the area.

Speaking to ANGOP, the facilitator of the seminar, Altino Nunes, noted that the knowledge will enable the participants to assess matters associated with HIV/AIDS and the upgrading of communities.

Star consists of connecting the two methodologies (stepping-stones and reflect), that are techniques used by most of the African countries in the fight against the pandemics. The four-day meeting will analyse the methodological guidelines, building of a model, ideas for action, systematisation of a unit, hygiene and health map, methodology of education for adults and others.
