Due to his ailing health condition, The Gambia Leader Yahya Jammeh is considering handing over the country to Major General Lang Tombong Tamba, sources close to corridors of power have revealed today. The President, who is said to be suffering from mental health problems, has reached a deal with Major General Tamba to handover the country to him sooner or later. The change of Government would come in the form of palace coup, according to these highly placed sources monitoring the President's activities. "The general feeling here is that the President is mad. Few days ago, he called us and said one of his devils is on the loose and was capable of causing harm to Gambians. Everybody in cabinet were taken aback by the President's statement. The Vice President, including the former SOS Neneh Mawdowl Gaye were all crying. We are also worried about the President's ailing health. His mind is unstable, as he lives in constant fear and anxiety. The President had asked Major General Tamba to oversee the country for him during our meeting. He told Lang that the country was in his hands, as he Jammeh was busy searching for the missing devil. No one knows what such searches might led him to. The devil, he said was Jammeh's most favorite devil. It's matter of time for Lang to execute the palace coup." Said a permanent Secretary at the office of the President.
The Perm Sec said the President's mother Ajaratu Asombi Bojang has been crying since his son's declaration that he lost one of his devils. " The old woman has been crying for the past couple of days. Her request for the President to be taken to Casamance for treatment was ignored. She said Jammeh was seeing his grand parents spiritual works and was bound to react in such a way. But a Nurse attached to Asombi told the old woman that the President needs to be flown to the West for treatment, because his actions were signs of madness. I personally assured the old woman that the President was going to be given the necessary medical help he deserved. But the old woman told me that the President does not believe in Western medicine. Under the circumstances, it would be very difficult to treat him." Said the Per Sec.
The Perm Sec said the President's madness leads him into idol worshipping. " He worships idols in Kanilai. He wants to signals to us that his Government is over. A plan has been reached for Lang to succeed him. Top officials of the military, have been meeting on the need to allow a safe succession of power, without any blood shed. Lang and the Speaker Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay are talking. Major General Tamba's promotion was possible thanks to the Speaker. She prevailed on the President to promote Lang. The same FJC is having meeting with top officials of the army to succeed the President. They said the takeover was sanctioned by the President and was justified by all means. We the bureaucrats are worried because the replica of any coup means, another problem for the country." Said the Perm Sec.
The Perm Sec said FJC and Lang Tombong Tamba were secret lovers. " I met them on numerous occasions after work socializing. Fatou only cares about her ambition. She wants to be the next President after Jammeh. Both Lang and the President listened to her a lot. She is using Lang to facilitate the safe the succession of power." said the Per Sec.
According to the Perm Sec, the President was also faced by marital woes. " His relationship with Zeinab has not been very cordial. Following news reports made by your paper that he was seeing a Banjul woman Amina Cole, the President had been faced by numerous marital problems. Zeinab is likely to walk away from him. I saw this coming. Another devil will leave soon from Kanilai. If all plans worked well, Jammeh might not witness the next July 22nd anniversary. There are a lot of activities taking place here." Said the Perm Sec.
