THE body of Milanzi member of Parliament (MP) Chosani Njobvu who died in Slovenia last week arrives in Zambia today.

National Assembly media liaison officer, Chikomeni Banda said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that the body of Dr Njobvu, who was UNIP secretary general, arrives aboard a South African Airways plane at 21: 00 hours.

He said burial arrangements would be announced later after communicating with Dr Njobvu's family.

Dr Njobvu died on March 19 in his sleep in Slovenia where he had travelled for the African, Caribbean and Pacific - European Union (ACP-EU) joint parliamentary assembly.

Dr Njobvu had a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in agriculture and lectured at the University of Zambia (Unza) Great East Road campus where he rose up to the position of senior research fellow.

He retired from the university on the same position and took up active politics in the former ruling party.
