Luanda — The main event of the World Tuberculosis Day happens this Monday at the Palace of Congresses, in Luanda, under the motto "I can stop TB", in a ceremony to be presided over by the minister of Health, Ruben Sicato.
The motto calls for reflection towards this problem, seeking therapeutic and diagnosis solutions, and sensitise people towards the reduction of its impact within the communities, as well as recognising the efforts of health staff.
The agenda of activities include topics such as "The situation of TB in Angola", "Strategies to fight against this illness for the 2008/2012 period" and "Laboratory Network", among others.
Behind malaria and AIDS, tuberculosis is one of the diseases that mostly affect the Angolan population.
