Mansur Sani Malam

Kano State governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, is expected this week to dispact the list of some new commissioners to the state's House of Assembly for screening, following his intention to reshuffle his cabinet.

A reliable source close to the governor's office disclosed that "immediately after the national holidays, the governor will swing into action and change members of the state executive council".

LEADERSHIP learned that the reshufflement of the cabinet is due to "the unfaithful attitude of some of the members of the state's executive council".

Our findings also revealed that some of the commissioners are in the habit of distancing themselves from politicians particularly those at the grassroots who had continued to insist that "We are not politicians, and Malam Shekarau did not appoint us for political reasons, our appointment is based on merit".

LEADERSHIP gathered that many of the ANPP members in the state are not happy with the frequent decamping of some opponents from the other parties to ANPP in the state and described the move as the sabotage.

LEADERSHIP learned that many people in the state are eagerly awaiting the reconstitution of the state executive council, hoping that the state will record more growth in the near future.
