A photograph exhibition opened on March 15 by a female Ethiopian bike rider of Anti HIV/AIDS campaign was being displayed around Kazanchis depicting lively pictures of her day to day life of the journey.

'Alrefedem', an Amharic promo word meaning, 'it is not too late' was the title for the two-week long photo exhibition by Hirut Gedlu who devoted her life to create awareness of the HIV AIDS epidemic among her people.

"I wanted to prepare this exhibition to recall the people that HIV is still the breath taking issue and is become still increasing. We have to fight the disease and help those who are living with the virus", Hirut said.

Photos of gifts from different communities, shoes she put on while she was traveling, foods that she ate during the campaign, certificates she received from different authorities and institutions, higher officials she met at the campaign and others showing her day today life, were among some displayed at the exhibition.

Hirut started her Campaign in 1994 EC and during the campaign she has traveled 15,441kms and passed messages on the issue at around 3271 stations. She has also traveled out side of Ethiopia to teach the Ethiopian communities who are living in Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

"Every one has to participate voluntarily to eradicate the epidemic. Giving money couldn't help. Rather if we help the patient morally, if we share them what we eat, or if we wash the clothes of persons who are living with the virus, if we give them love, then we could bring a change. Still it is not late. If we have the courage we could decrease the transmission or even stop it", she said addressing her massage to the people.

The exhibition will be closed on Sunday March 23.
