Tanzania's representatives in the Bamburi Super Series rugby championship, at the weekend lost their second match to visiting

Cheetah of Kisumu by 32-0 score in a match played in Arusha.

Before the weekends' debacle, the team lost 65-0 score at the hands of Lions of Kenya a fortnight ago.

Twigas managed to reduce the loss margin and Tanzania Rugby Union (TRU) Lynn Taylor said he was relieved by the performance.

Twigas, which won the Castle Cup in 2006 by defeating Niger in the finals, was a pale shadow of themselves in the match.

The team is expected to travel to Nairobi this week to take on Buffalo in an away match to be played on Saturday.

"We need to win the Nairobi match to shape ourselves as true contenders in the tourney because a third loss will be disasterous," she said.

Twigas are competing in the championship for the first time. Initially, Uganda was also expected feature teams but pulled out at the eleventh hours for reasons best known to themselves.
