Luena

Twenty activists from various state-run institutions and NGOs operating in the eastern Moxico province last weekend concluded a course for trainers on the Methods of Combating HIV/AIDS, in Luena city.

The upgrading course focussed on the new technology, dubbed "Star", aimed at assessing problems relating to HIV/AIDS.

Trained by the Angolan Association for Adults Education (AAEA) of Luanda, the activists will harmonise activities of information, education and communication on the pandemic disease, with literacy lessons for the population residing in the communities where they will operate.

To fulfil the task, the HIV/AIDS activists will convey basic messages to sensitise the population on the prevention of the syndrome.
