Ignatius Dingha Bayin, Northwest Treasurer, has been chosen as Chairman of the Ngoketunjia Development and Cultural Association, NDECA.
Dingha, who is also President General of the Balikumbat Development Organisation, was unanimously chosen by the leaders of the development associations in each of the thirteen villages that make up Ngoketunjia Division, during a meeting at the Ngoketunjia SDO's Office on March 13.
Assisting Dingha is Mama Lamya Nganjo, a senior Prison Superintendent from Baba 1, with Nchechuma Banla from Babessi as Public relations Officer. The Secretary and Treasurer are Joseph Barbing from Baligashu and Solomon Kometa from Babungo. Peter Mbu, Ngoketunjia SDO, is the Adviser. All Steering Committee members are the development association presidents of their various villages.
Both in the resolutions and the Ngoketunjia declarations, the thirteen village development representatives pledged to work in collaboration with the Fons, elite and population of Ngoketunjia for the development of the Division.
Meanwhile, Dingha has tasked the Committee to remobilise all the active forces of the Division in order to arouse the interest of the people in the development of their area.
To achieve this objective, Dingha calls on all fellow Ngoketunjia people to sink all political, religious and ethnic differences.

Looking back with regret, Dingha says little was achieved in the past despite the enormous human material resources Ngoketunjia possesses because of lack of concerted effort.
In order to achieve their goals, Dingha insisted that unity and solidarity are indispensable.
Before concluding the NDECA steering Committee meeting, the Chairman warned that all those who derive satisfaction from disunity would find in NDECA a veritable stumbling block. He called on fellow Ngoketunjia people to assist him to make NDECA "A Place To Be".
