The assistance of the French Embassy falls within the framework of accompanying governmental efforts in the area of provision of infrastructure. The assistance would be used to equip the medical centre in Akwa District to the tune of FCFA 24,887,422 million.
This amount was used in purchase of special equipment for laboratory, X-ray machine and aesthesia. In order to ensure equipment maintenance, the French Embassy would send an NGO to train medical personnel, of the Ministries of Public Health and Defence on the utilisation and maintenance of the special materials.
In the same vein, an intermediary Health Centre and lodgings would be construction and equipment to the tune of FCFA 37,874,528, in the Ndo locality situated inside the peninsula. It is hope that this would ameliorate the sanitary and health conditions of the population.

Rain water would be collected in plastic reservoirs of 150m3 and treated before distribution in Kombo a Munja 1 and 2. In the Ndo area a similar disposition would be taken to provide water to the intermediary Centre.
