Former Prime Minister, Simon Achidi Achu, has told the SDF in Santa that he and fellow CPDM militants are ready to die for their party.

"Tell Fru Ndi we have prepared out coffins," he said.Achidi Achu, however, warned the SDF that nobody has a monopoly of violence. He likened the SDF to dirty water, which stains whatever is put in it. He said the party has not changed since 1990.

"Fru Ndi is always insulting Biya, yet wants to take power and rule Cameroon," said the former Prime Minister.Achidi Achu indicted Santa SDF for vowing that any change in the 1996 Constitution would cause bloodshed.

He was particularly vexed by the burning of the office of the Divisional Officer of Santa; an act which he said has dampened Santa people's hope for a Division as all the files relating to it were burnt.

He appealed for donation to rebuild the office and called on Santa people to put God first.

Becky Acham, Santa WCPDM Section President, mocked those who ridicule the call for peace. She said politicians die several times before their deaths, cautioning that anyone getting into the political game should be prepared.

No Chicken Feeding On Market Day

To avoid the failure that emanates from late campaigns, John B. Ndeh, Santa Section President, launched the 2008 programme of the CPDM for any elections that may be coming up.

This plan, which began with February 11 celebrations, will continue with sensitisation of militants with CPDM basic texts. Santa CPDM also resolved to fight poverty through intensified agricultural activities.

In this connection, John Ndeh promised to distribute high quality maize seeds to all subsections. Working sessions and subsection conferences would also be organised on regular bases.

However, the atmosphere at the meeting was tense, because of alleged death threats from the SDF. Although he had just been given a new and agile bodyguard, Achidi Achu did not have the courage to move about in a brand new Prado allegedly given him by President Biya.

He apparently thought it more prudent to move in a less expensive car.
