A THIRTY-six-year-old Kitwe woman was yesterday stabbed to death by her 27-year-old husband for allegedly flirting with another man in Kalulushi.

Police confirmed the incident, which happened in Kawama township between 06:00 and 07:00 hours at the alleged lover's house.

Police identified the deceased as Jubilee Kamanda and the suspect as Kenny Musongole of B-15 Wusakile township.

Police said that at one time Mr Musongole confronted Kamanda who frequently visited Kawama township about the matter but that she denied the allegations.

Police said on Sunday, the woman whose parents lived in the same township decided to go to Kalulushi pretending that she was going to visit the parents but that she went and spent a night at the alleged lover's place.

Police said yesterday the husband decided to 'strike' very early in the morning and before Kamanda left, he stormed the house and found the wife at the same place with her lover.

Police said it was at this pointed that Musongole stabbed the wife with a knife while the lover had bolted.

Kamanda sustained injuries on the neck, stomach and the ear.
