As we are fast approaching June, the time which the national team, Leone Stars will starts its campaign for the 2010 Nation's/World cup qualification. With few months to go, my biggest doubt is who will lead the national team to success.

The issue of a coach for the national team is a major concern and worries, which the government and the Football Association are not taking seriously.

This made me to question, are we serious of qualifying for both competition? As of now, as I see things are going the answer is a big NO.

There are lots of tongue waggling, fans expressing their concern in different sports programmee about the issue of getting a foreign coach, while others are appealing for Ahmed Kanu to be given the responsibility.

The fact of the matter here is who will head the team for the 2010 campaign. If the government and the Football Association want a foreign coach why not get him now before it's too late.

Again, if Ahmed Kanu is going to take up the responsibility then why the time wasting? I advised if they need him for the job, they must officially give him now, in order for him to start his preparation.

This is no hiding secret that the national team is the sole responsibility of the government. Since this new government took over power, their first impression towards the national team was a big move but it seems as if things are going the other way.

If rely we want to succeed with what lies ahead of us our government must start the ball rolling because time and tide wait for no man. Shall we wait when it is a moth to our first match we starts putting our house in order? I don't believe so.

Knowing now who will coach the team, is a step forward, but that does not implies we should choose or appoint any Jack and Jill that will fail us.

For our national team to achieve its goals, we need a coach, who is discipline and can stand firm on his words. Above all, one who will not be influence, by any foreign-based players.

If any of our local coaches poses such quality, then it is left with the government and the Foot ball association to make a choice.
