He said the President was exploring avenues to assist Liberians become self-sufficient in food production.
Badio said President Sirleaf was encouraged by the development taking place in Lofa especially in agriculture and rice production, and called on Liberians to emulate the examples of the people of Lofa County.
At the same time, Badio said as a follow up to the President's recent visit to Lofa, Vice President Joseph Boakai would leave for the county to inspect ongoing development projects which she (President) could not cover during her visit.
He said Vice President Boakai would discuss with local farmers their concerns and efforts being made by government to boost agricultural production in Liberia.
