Angola was Monday awarded in Kinshasa, DR Congo, with the "2007 Economic Model" prize, following its commitment to the reconstruction of the economy, re-launch of production, efficient management of financial resources of the State Budget and its engagement in improving the living conditions of citizens.

The prize is an initiative of "Entreprendre" economic magazine, of the Synergy group, specialised in observing the financial code of conduct of enterprises, economic and financial institutions, and securing the promotion of ethics in businesses, so as to encourage competitiveness.

From this year onwards, the prize will be attributed to national, international personalities and to the institutions that distinguish themselves positively in various fields of the economic activity.

The award was received by the first secretary of the Angolan diplomatic mission to DRC, in representation of Ambassador Mawete João Baptista.
