Angola: China Seeks Bilateral Cooperation Boosting

25 March 2008

Luanda — China intends to strengthen the current ties with Angolan authorities by extending them to other fields, announced Tuesday here its ambassador to Angola, Zhang Beisan.

"So far, we have been cooperating in various domains in the recovery of infrastructures, but without doubt we can extend our relations to other sectors, said the diplomat at the end of an audience granted by speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Angola, Roberto de Almeida.

Zhang Beisan noted that both countries can cooperate more in the sectors of education, health, water and energy supply, among others.

The Chinese diplomat, who is ending his four-year mission, said he also discussed with the Parliament speaker about the strengthening of relations between the two countries' parliaments.

The Chinese diplomat also disclosed that a Chinese parliamentary delegation may visit Angola soon.
