The 5th edition of the Mediterranean Guitar Festival organized by the cultural association of guitar fans will be held from March 21 to 26, 2008 in Tunis .

Artists from Tunisia , Lebanon , France , Italy , Belgium and Portugal , will take part in this major international event.

During a press conference held in Tunis , the artistic director of the festival noted that the Festival's chief role consists in discovering artists of talent, as well as in featuring renowned national and international artists.

Notorious music bands such as "Dark Lucy", from Italy will take part in the festival. However less seasoned amateur artists will also have the occasion to perform within the framework of the 'off festival' which will be held in the youth cultural center of El Menzah 6 in Tunis .

The Tunis municipal theatre will host the opening evening which will feature "Zed", a Tunisian rock group, in addition to Anas Abid and the French Samarabalouf jazz band.

The festival also includes Master Classes directed by artists, as well as a number of men and women of culture invited to the festival.
