Mbarara — FOR 15-year-old Angelo Twesigye, Easter was more than just a festive season. The primary seven pupil of Nyamitombora Primary School was declared winner of the 'Bonga na Coke with Billions'promotion at a fully packed Mbarara Independence Park over the weekend.
Twesigye could hardly believe his luck when his envelope was read out earning him an all expenses paid trip to the Beijing Olympics courtesy of Century Bottling Company Limited.
The soft spoken Twesigye, dressed in a pair of shorts and a faded T-shirt later told Daily Monitor that he had entered 120 (360 bottle tops) envelopes and always assured his father that he was going to win.
"After learning about the promotion on radio, I started picking bottle tops from the bus park as buses were being cleaned. This is a great moment for me and I cannot wait to go to China," Twesigye said.
Twesigye's father, Mr John Byarugaba, a phone technician , could not hide his excitement and praised his son and Coca Cola. "My son loves Coke.
He always told me that he was going to win. If I had a plane, I would fly and tell everyone to drink Coca Cola," Byarugaba shouted.
There were several other winners who took home prize ranging from free sodas to cash. Asaph Tumusiime, a builder was the pick of them all when he won Shs1m.
