The CPDM militants in Ngog-Mapubi and Dibang Subdivisions that make up the Nyong-et Kelle North West Section feasted at Ngog- Mapubi.
The militants of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) of the Nyong -et Kelle North West Section used the party's 23rd anniversary celebration at Ngog-Mapubi to count health, educational infrastructure, tarred road and appointment of their elite to high positions in government as enough reasons to belong to and give unflinching support to CPDM Chairman, Paul Biya.
One of the CPDM Central Committee chargé de missions for the anniversary, Njeng II Daniel, read the circular of the CPDM Central Committee Secretary General, René Sadi giving celebration guidelines and themes. All speeches made during the occasion in the presence of the Ngog-Mapubi Sub-divisional Officer, Ndongo Luc, revolved around the message in the circular. The celebration themes were: consolidation of national peace and integration; sustainable growth for shared development; support to the President's move to modernise institutions and entrench democracy; and support to the proposed revision of the constitution.
Hon. Libock Jean Calvin, Nyong -et Kelle North West CPDM Section Presiden, in the main speech for the day, recounted the numerous achievements of the CPDM regime, with particular emphasis on the Ngog- Mapubi and Dibang Subdivisions. In line with the message from the party's Central Committee Secretary General, he said CPDM forever stands for the Bamenda founding act which focuses on unity, progress and democracy. Hon. Libock joined the other speakers during the occasion to condemn the violence that caused lost of human lives and destruction of public and private property in some parts of Cameroon in February. All praised the population of Nyong-et Kelle Division in general for blocking the way to the violence and called on the population to be more vigilant. According to Hon. Libock, the achievements so far realised in the country must be jealously preserved.
The Nyong-et Kelle North West CPDM Section President informed the population about the recent measures President Paul Biya has taken to improve the living conditions of Cameroonians. He mentioned the increase in salaries of State workers, reduction of taxes and customs duties of some goods of basic necessity, reduction in the cost of electricity bills, among others. All these, he said, fall in line with President Paul Biya's "Greater Ambitions" programme for the country, whose realisation needs the support of all. The CPDM militants in Ngog-Mapubi and Dibang once more reiterated their support for the Head of State's proposal to amend the country's constitution. "Through the constitutional amendment, we will consolidate achievements".
