Once upon a time, there was a hotel in a certain town. Its clients came from far and near. Business thrived. Then, the owner of the facility decided to replace the receptionist with his daughter who just graduated from the school of tourism. He paid dearly for this decision as the immediate consequence was the drop in turnover.

Worried, the owner of the facility sought to find out the reason for the turn of events. "Bring back Thomas" was the request of all the clients he talked to. Thomas was the ace receptionist who was replaced. Over the years, Thomas had developed a personal relationship with all the regulars of the hotel. He came up with a sign language which he used with customers. He was their "facilitator". He could tell when a client needed a call girl, etc. And talking about call girls, Thomas knew how best to keep them at ease. Every evening the girls flooded the bar of the hotel but would not spend a dime on drinks as Thomas served them with coloured water. In this way, his guests had a variety to choose from.

Faced with such receptionist-customer complicity, the proprietor had no other option but to bring back Thomas. And once more, his hotel sprang to life. Conclusion: It is always difficult to understand why people prefer a certain drinking spot, shop or even church to another.
