Plan Liberia, an international child advocacy organization has embarked on a training workshop for its staff and partners aimed at preparing them for an advocacy campaign against violence in schools.

Addressing the opening of the workshop Tuesday, the Country Director of Plan Liberia, Augustine Allieu told the participants that the forum was intended to equip them with knowledge, information and tools that will empower enhance their advocacy for children's rights and take a non-compromising stance against child abuse at all times. He said the workshop will strengthen the capacity of participants in the area of advocacy and to craft advocacy strategy.

Mr. Allieu said the knowledge gained at the workshop would prepare the participants to also protect and promote the rights of children in Liberia so that they can achieve better growth and development.

PLAN is a non-religious, non-political and non-governmental child centered international humanitarian organization which operates in 58 countries worldwide and brings support to millions of children, their families and communities.
