The ongoing trial of the deputy Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Forestry and the Environment, Mr. Momodou Njie, is scheduled to proceed today, Tuesday, at the Bundung Magistrates Court. The case did not proceed last Tuesday, 18 March.

On that day, the prosecutor ASP Bojang applied to the court for an adjournment on the grounds that the prosecution witness did not come and the defense lawyer Mr. Lamin Camara did not object to the prosecution's application.

Mr. Momodou Njie was arrested on the 21 of February and subsequently charged with two counts of false publication and impersonating public officers.
