Action for Greater Harvest (AGRHA) is pleased to officially inform the press that Mr. Dee-Maxwell S. Kemayah Sr., Executive Director of AGRHA who is also Board Chairman of the Youth Crime Watch of Liberia (YCWL) departed Liberia on Sunday, March 23, 2008 for the United States of America at the invitation and support of Youth Crime Watch of America to attend the 19th National Youth Crime Prevention Conference & International Forum; scheduled for the 26th -29th of March 2008 in Miami, Florida.

At this International Forum; there will be International Track of Workshops as an integral part of the experience for conference participants. One of the important workshops that comprise this international track is: "Local Economic Development and Crime Prevention: a Serious Relationship".

This workshop will explore the importance and strategies for supporting development of local entrepreneurs, youth employment, local business center development; and security/crime prevention for the local economy.

Presenters at this workshop were recommended by the International Economic Development Council; while this International Local Economic Development workshop will also feature a panel of Leaders; including Mr. Kemayah, Executive Director of AGRHA (Mr. Kemayah is also Board Chairman of the Microfinance Network of Liberia); who have been extensively involved in local economic development; including youth employment and job development programs.

According to the invitation; Mr. Kemayah was requested to join other representatives from other continents on the International Panel based on his experience and expertise; and moreover to represent Liberia and youth development programs in developing countries.

Mr. Kemayah as an invited representative of our country-Liberia and continent/developing countries on this international panel hopes that his experience sharing and gathering at this international forum will bring added value to local economic development; including youth employment and job development programs in this part of our global world; including, but not limited to Liberia.

As part of his activities in the United States of America; Mr. Kemayah plans to meet with a variety of officials in the United States Government, Private Sector Foundations and United Nations through the arrangements and support of Youth Crime Watch of America (YCWA) and its (YCWA) Executive Director, Mr. Terrence W. Modglin.

While Mr. Kemayah is away, Mr. Gabriel B.F. Sherman, Sr. will serve as Acting Executive Director of AGRHA; and in addition, conduct the affairs of the Microfinance Network of Liberia in close consultation with the Co-Chair pending his resumption of official duties on April 28, 2008.
