Teams from 16 provinces of the country will participate in the national seniors judo championships in both sexes, to be held next April in Luanda, ANGOP learnt from the official source.

The provinces of Cunene and Kwanza Sul will miss the event due to unknown reasons, informed the competition's organising body.

According to the member of the Angolan Judo Federation, André de Sousa, who did not reveal the teams, the men's competition will count on four teams and Benguela with two, since it is the region with the highest number of athletes. Other regions will be represented by one team each.

In the ladies category, the confirmed provinces could enlist as many as two teams for the competition that is set to start early April.

Banca sports group are the titleholders in both sexes.
