RONALD Serugo and Alidina Muzei kept Uganda's hopes of at least a ticket to the Beijing Olympics alive with victories in the Africa Qualifiers in Windhoek, Namibia yesterday, reports Samson Opus.

The rest lost.

Serugo pummelled Zambia's Presord Kaziwa 11-3 while Muzei (top), who overcame a seasoned Nigerian Tuesday night, outclassed South Africa's Joseph Mhaongo.

Serugo, a Kyambogo University student, received a standing ovation from spectators after rocking the Zambian.

"The (Cuban) coach has improved upon scoring and the punching power," remarked UABF president Roger Ddungu on phone.
