SUPPLIERS of 25 acres of land for Shimoni Core Primary Teachers College and the demonstration school are needed. The education ministry's permanent secretary secretary, Francis Lubanga, said in a notice that suppliers of computers and motorcycles were also needed.

Shimoni Demonstration School was shifted to a plot in Lugogo, Kampala last year after the Government gave out its land to a Saudi investor, Kingdom Investments.

However, the investor has not constructed anything on the plot.

The notice on a website says tender documents cost sh100,000 for all the lots.

The documents can be collected from the ministry's principal procurement officer on Embassy House. Kajoba Kitonsa of the ministry said the land should be within 10km of the city centre.

He said the current location of the school was a fall-back position but now they needed to get permanent structures.

Each lot will constitute a separate bid.
