After just one week in office, the new Uganda Golf Club (UGC) Lady Captain Fancy Daphne Ogweng has spoken of her determination to ensure the ladies game experiences a massive improvement wave during the one-year renewable term.

Ogweng, while talking to Daily Monitor, disclosed her 2008 Agenda with building a united ladies section at the Kitante-based club, on top of her priorities list."

I don't want any divisionism. I want all ladies to focus their energies on improving the section so that the numbers can grow," revealed Ogweng.

Also high on her to do list is encouraging young ladies to join the club and be exposed to golf on a competitive basis at the international scene.

"I ask the corporations to give more help to the ladies section so that we can also have a good financial base. "We (ladies) are also determined to continue touching the hearts of the underprivileged hearts," she added before expressing her keeness on working with the UGLU President Alice Owori.
