The minister of Culture, Boaventura Cardoso leaves this Friday for Kaxicane region, Icolo e Bengo district, northern Bengo province, to assess the implementation rate of the works of the Agostinho Neto Cultural Centre.

According to a press release from the Culture Ministry, delivered to ANGOP this Thursday, the delegation also comprises the minister of Public Works, Higino Carneiro, and the governor of Bengo, Jorge Dombolo.

A native of Kaxicane, António Agostinho Neto was born on 17 September 1922. Besides being a politician who dedicated his entire life to the ruling MPLA party, Agostinho Neto was also a writer and a nurse who passed away on 10 September 1979.
