The new Regional Revenue Office at Keetmanshoop will from April 1 also handle payments of income tax, Value Added Tax, PAYE and Land Tax, the Directorate of Inland Revenue has announced.

Ministry of Finance Permanent Secretary Calle Schlettwein announced that the mentioned payments would from that date no longer be accepted at the Magistrate's Office. Since it came into operation on May 2 2007, the regional revenue office at Keetmanshoop had only dealt with tax enquiries from the public, but this would change with the latest arrangement starting April 1.

The Revenue Office is situated on the corner of Hampie Plichta Street and Second Avenue. The telephone number is (063) 22 4864, and the fax number (063) 22 4863.
