Tears flowed freely on Easter Monday on Kwale/Asaba road in Delta State, when a vehicle conveying five persons somersaulted, killing all the occupants on the spot.

The victims, a retired army Major, David Ukah, his wife and three children were said to be retuning to Warri from Onistsha in Anambra State where the family had gone for the Easter celebrations. Though details of the accident were sketching, an eyewitness said the trouble started for the Ukah's family when the vehicle, a Mercedes Benz 190 lost one of its tires and veered off the road and somersaulted into a ditch.

'It took us over forty minutes to evacuate the bodies from the mangled vehicle", said one of the sympathizers, Mr. Akpofure Ufoma.

Already, the bodies of the victims have been deposited at a private hospital in Ughelli, Delta State.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Charles Muka, who confirmed the tragedy could not give further information.
