Tallo Thomas does not have to worry anymore about renting a wheelchair because he has just received a new one from Susuku.

Tallo, a disabled boy, had to rent wheelchair almost regularly in order to make ends meet. Since he did not have the means of acquiring a new one, Tallo used rented wheelchair to sit in front of Abijaodi Supermarket hoping that someone would bless him.

The situation got worse when the renter took away the wheelchair from him which undermined his hustle for his daily bread.

For three months Tallo was without a wheelchair, and it wasn't long when he appealed to Dr. Togba Nah-Tipoteh, Chairman of Susuku for assistance.

However, his request was honored yesterday when Susuku formally presented a new brand wheelchair to him.

Speaking during presentation ceremony yesterday, Dr. Brima Kaba, Chairman of Susuku's Advisory Board said Tallo had appealed to the organization to help him with a wheelchair.

He said Susuku was delighted to assist Tallo with the wheelchair because of the desire he expressed.

Dr. Kaba, a former Commerce Minister said Susuku cannot assist every Liberian due to constraint.

According to Dr. Kaba, the wheelchair cost US$300 which the group got from abroad.

In a brief statement, Susuku Chairman Dr. Tipoteh said his organization was proud to present the wheelchair so that Tallo would not have to rent again.

He described Tallo as a disciplined and determined boy who, despite his condition, continues to exhibit good behavior.

Responding, Tallo expressed appreciation to Susuku for the gesture, saying that he did not have to rent a wheelchair anymore.
